A modular foundation for improving care and communication

The term "clinical groupware" has recently emerged to describe HIT (Health Information Technology) platforms—like RMD—that allow clinicians to exchange information, collaborate on care, engage patients, and deliver a foundation that provides modular, interchangeable HIT functionality.

In association with industry leaders and subject matter experts like Dr. David Kibbe MD MBA, and in conjunction with other clinical groupware companies, RMD Networks' Steve Adams has spearheaded the creation of the Clinical Groupware Collaborative (CGC), a new industry organization whose aim is to provide greater interoperability between and among vendors, and to foster solutions that meet emerging Meaningful Use guidelines.

The CGC web site is launching soon at www.clinicalgroupwarecollaborative.org.
