R. Steven Adams, CEO, & Founder
Mr. Adams has been a leader in the development and management of products and information systems in the converging Internet,
cable television, telephony and personal computer industries. Steve was among the first to incorporate Internet technologies with online
information systems, and he understands the unique combination of personal computing technologies, Internet communications and human
interaction. Prior to co-founding RMD Systems, Steve founded HotelNet, an online business application for the hospitality industry. Steve
also founded Webb Interactive Services and served as CEO and Chairman from 1994 until 2000 and took the company public with a successful
IPO in 1996. While at Webb, he was instrumental in developing MDGateway, an online system for continuing medical education for physicians.
Dr. Abrams (bio below) served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board for MDGateway and this is where Steve and Dr. Abrams first
discussed the need for improved communication in the healthcare industry and the concept of RMD began to evolve.
Thomas Brook, President
Prior to joining RMD, Mr. Brook was the President of SunAmerica Trust Company (STC), a trust company built on an outsourcing and networking strategy.
Mr. Brook was instrumental in the founding of STC, working with regulatory agencies and business partners to form Colorado’s first virtual trust company
with 200,000 customers and $10 billion in trust assets. He also served as the CFO for Resources Trust Company where he oversaw a team of 65 people,
led efforts to obtain FDIC insurance, and developed an institutional custody service for fee based investment advisors. Mr. Brook has worked closely
with start-up software companies including consulting roles as President and CFO for the Investment Advisory Network, a software company whose mission is to
network custodians, investment advisors and their clients to facilitate wealth management. Previously he worked with Price Waterhouse and Deloitte Touche
as a consultant and CPA.
Richard Abrams, MD, CMO & Founder
Dr. Abrams has practiced Internal Medicine in Denver, Colorado for over 20 years. He is a member of the clinical faculty at the
University of Colorado School of Medicine serving as Associate Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine and Associate Clinical Professor
of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been consistently recognized by 5280 Magazine as "Top Doctor" in Denver and he has
been listed in "The Best Doctors in America" since 1995. Dr. Abrams' publications include five books and numerous articles
on medical complications during pregnancy. His book Will It Hurt the Baby was featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, and
CBS This Morning. Dr. Abrams graduated with honors from Northwestern University and the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
Rob Geller, CFO
Rob Geller has been an investor, co-founder, executive, and board member with numerous emerging growth companies in the industries of healthcare,
software/internet, alternative energy, and hi-tech manufacturing. He was a co-founder of Requisite, Inc a company that was first sold to Rational software
and then to IBM. Requisite Pro remains today the requirements standard for most software developers. He is a "business systems architect"
as he has developed and successfully deployed proprietary principles, methodologies and software tools designed to improve the odds for success in emerging companies.
During his career, Mr.Geller has served as both a full-time and part-time outsourced CFO with various companies. He has experience with angel, VC and public
financing with a successful track record of investor returns. Mr. Geller graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Business School and has been
an instructor in their MBA program.
Eva Vyas, VP Products
Prior to joining RMD, Eva provided leadership in product management and marketing as a senior director, client executive and consultant for healthcare companies
such as ChannelPoint, Kinetra, Selectica and Great-West Healthcare. Eva served in executive roles with employer healthcare coalitions and worked in
operations for a university teaching hospital. She has her Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her
undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. Eva served on the Board of Trustees for the Women’s Foundation of Colorado and is a Leadership Denver alumnus.
Scott Daniel, VP of
Engineering
Mr. Daniel brings over 12 years of software development and
technical experience to RMD. Before joining RMD, Scott served as
a Technical Director for BNKR and Webb Interactive Services specializing
in the development of products for the Internet Banking industry.
Scott has also worked with American Management Systems in the telecommunications
industry, working on customer care and billing systems for cellular
phone operators. Scott has a Master’s degree in Information
Technology from the University of Colorado and an undergraduate
degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Denver.
Donald D. Storey, MD, VP Medical Affairs
Dr. Storey received his medical degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and a pulmonary fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Following his formal medical education he practiced Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine for 20 years in Spokane, Washington before embarking
on a 10 year career, initially as senior medical director for Qual Med, then Regence Blue Shield in Seattle, and for the past 8 years, Aetna.
Dr. Storey recently retired from Aetna where, for the past five years, he held the position of National Medical Director for Aexcel, a highly successful
specialist performance network.
Susan Schutte, Operations
Ms. Schutte’s experience in health care industry operations spans a number of positions.
Her career has involved management positions in customer service, claims administration, utilization
review and provider relations. Prior to joining RMD Networks, Susan worked for the CNA
Corporation as a Health Care Analyst and consultant on the TRICARE contract. She also worked
for a major health care plan for over 20 years where she managed several diverse operating units
within the HMO, Medicare and Medicaid programs and had a leadership role in systems conversions
involving process and workflow changes, inventory control and staffing. Susan earned a BA in
Sociology from Kansas State University and completed one year of graduate courses toward an MBA.
